Ultra Precision Control Systems in the United Kingdom is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to lead a multi-disciplinary team in the development of military land and aerospace products. The role covers electro-mechanical systems, power management, electronic command and control, pneumatic systems and embedded software, with a focus on safety critical development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years Systems Engineering experience in defence/aerospace.
• Good engineering or science degree (preferably systems engineering).
• Experience of safety-critical development (DO-178/DO-254 or IEC61508).
• Experience with MATLAB and Simulink.

Responsibilities

• Development of systems for military land and aerospace industries using a systems engineering approach.
• Engage with customers to elicit stakeholder requirements.
• Translate requirements into realizable product requirements and verify them.
• Produce interface control and system design documents; manage engineering changes.
• Provide technical oversight and mentoring to other Systems Engineers.
