Job summary

The Boeing Company in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Systems Engineering Manager to lead a diverse engineering team and actively contribute to programme and business development work. Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline.
• At least one year of leadership experience (team leader, temp manager, large-scale project management) OR completed Boeing internal leadership course.
• Hands-on Systems Engineering experience.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Ability to work with teams spread across locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Systems Engineering team, including line management admin, wellbeing and HR activities.
• Coach and mentor team members to support development and growth.
• Ensure delivery of team engineering goals and milestones.
• Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives across the team.
• Oversee Systems Engineering work across programmes and bids with cross-functional teams.
• Work with Business Unit Chief Engineers on resource planning to meet workload needs.
• Perform succession planning for current and future business needs.
• Build and maintain networks with Engineering colleagues across the Enterprise.
