Qualifications

• At least one year of leadership experience (team lead, temp manager or formal manager).
• Experience leading systems engineering teams or cross-functional groups.
• Ability to prioritise in a fast-moving environment and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Systems Engineering team, including line management duties.
• Coach, mentor, provide feedback, and create growth opportunities.
• Foster accountability, teamwork and technical excellence.
• Encourage knowledge sharing and ongoing skills development.
• Ensure delivery of engineering goals and milestones across programmes.
• Drive Continuous Improvement across the team.
• Oversee, contribute to and deliver Systems Engineering work across programmes and bids & proposals with cross-functional teams.
• Plan resource needs with Business Unit Chief Engineers to meet workload.
• Succession planning for future business needs.
• Support the wider department and Senior Manager where needed.
• Build networks with Engineering colleagues across the Enterprise.
