Job summary
Boeing Defence United Kingdom Limited is seeking a System Safety and Environmental Engineering Manager to lead safety and environmental activities across UK programmes. You will develop strategies, manage resources and budgets, and work with UK MOD and Boeing stakeholders to ensure compliant safety outcomes.
The role requires leadership of a diverse team, strong diplomacy, and the willingness to travel. A UK security clearance will be required.
Qualifications
- Degree in engineering or relevant discipline.
- Formal training in system safety/environmental engineering.
- Experience leading safety/environmental assessments for complex systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute frameworks for delivering safety management of products, systems, and services.
- Support programmes and campaigns with safety/environmental engineering expertise.
- Plan and forecast resource requirements and budgets for safety engineering.
- Engage with stakeholders on safety management requirements for projects.
- Monitor On Time Delivery and First Time Quality; drive continuous improvement.
- Lead and grow a diverse team; oversee recruitment, development, and early career support.
- Oversee team development and performance, including recruitment and mentoring.
