Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Chartered systems engineer to join our rail integration team. You will lead complex engineering tasks, mentor Early Career Professionals and help shape major infrastructure projects across the UK.

You'll apply MBSE and DOORS within a collaborative consultancy environment, develop client relationships, manage project risk, and contribute to business development while advancing your own professional chartership and career growth.

Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Chartered status with a professional body, or near-term path to chartership.
• Post-degree experience delivering systems integration in rail environments.
• Experience with systems engineering tools DOORS and MBSE.
• Ability to lead teams and manage client relationships.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams to solve complex integration problems for major infrastructure programmes.
• Lead tasks within a project environment or manage small projects.
• Mentor Early Career Professionals and develop team capabilities.
• Apply pragmatic systems thinking to reduce risk and add value on projects.
• Develop knowledge and maintain CPD records and professional network.
• Gain commercial awareness of the project and wider business.
