Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer/Design Authority to guide the architecture of the NATO JEWCS deployed solution. You will work with internal teams and suppliers to ensure the architecture aligns with customer requirements and safety standards.

In this role, you will deputise for the Project Chief Engineer, lead architecture activities, and influence design decisions across the system lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM subject with strong numerical, analytical and design skills.
• Strong understanding of system and project lifecycles for delivery of subsystems and baselines.
• Experience leading architectures and influencing system design and integration.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders in high-pressure environments and review design risks.
• Experience passing design reviews and coordinating with suppliers and prime teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture team to develop and document the architecture through the project lifecycle.
• Deputise for the Project Chief Engineer as required.
• Identify and resolve technical issues across the system and subsystems to maintain integrity.
• Present architecture material at design reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
• Travel within the UK and abroad to meet customers and industry partners.
