Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd is seeking a Chief Systems Engineer to lead and govern Systems Engineering across complex programmes at our Southampton site. The role focuses on guiding large teams, shaping architectures, and driving a clear technical vision while ensuring stakeholder alignment in a hybrid work model.

We value experience in Model Based Systems Engineering, architecture definition, and strong leadership to deliver across air, naval, and cyber domains.

Qualifications

• Experience in applying governance and guidance on Systems Engineering LCM process.
• Experience working in Integrated Project Teams delivering Engineering artefacts successfully.
• Experience in eliciting stakeholder expectations.
• Experience in creating and defining architectures.
• Experience in managing and collaborating with internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as the focal point for Systems Engineering governance, supporting Lifecycle Management activities.
• Influence development of engineering artefacts, their technical direction and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Ensure the appropriate level of concepting, modelling and simulation techniques are used across the lifecycle to inform architectures and solutions.
