Job summary

Leonardo leads the NATO JEWCS Integrated Project Team in the UK, seeking a Lead Systems Engineer/DA to provide technical oversight across the full lifecycle. You will supervise internal and supplier design teams to ensure architectures meet customer and business requirements, and act as a senior interface with the Project Chief Engineer.

You will lead architecture development, review technical solutions, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure compliant, safe, and deliverable system designs,

Qualifications

• Degree in a STEM subject with strong numerical and design skills.
• Strong understanding of system and project lifecycles for subsystem delivery.
• Experience in systems architecture within a lifecycle context.
• Proven problem-solving and decision-making within complex design environments.
• Experience influencing system design and integration of a major system.
• Proven stakeholder management in high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight across the full system lifecycle.
• Lead architecture team across project lifecycle and document architecture.
• Influence requirements and enable design decisions with trade-offs.
• Support and advise subsystems through design reviews and risk management.
• Collaborate with customer and internal stakeholders to ensure compliant solutions.
• Travel within the UK and abroad to meet customers and partners.
