Job summary

Blue Triangle is seeking a Senior Support Worker in Oban to lead and develop a compassionate care team. You will support the Service Manager, supervise staff, and help deliver high-quality social care aligned with Scottish standards.

You will be registered with the SSSC (SVQ 3) and prepared to pursue SVQ4, while fostering a culture of dignity, respect and continuous improvement across shifts and services in Oban.

Qualifications

• Promote and encourage the professional development of staff including onboarding, supervision, core competencies, in-house training and external training.
• Must be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and hold SCQF Level 7 (SVQ 3) in Social Care, with willingness to complete Level 9 (SVQ 4).
• Experience in managing and motivating a team and delivering high-quality care in line with standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to the Service Manager in day-to-day delivery of the service, deputising as needed.
• Ensure adequate staffing cover via rota planning and deployment of staff.
• Carry out supervision with Support Workers and drive staff development.
