Job summary

Keys Group is seeking a Senior Support Worker in Redruth, Cornwall. You will lead a team of Support Workers, delivering person-centred care to adults with learning disabilities in a Supported Living setting.

The role is 40 hours per week, requiring a full UK manual driving licence and commitment to high-quality care, DBS checks, and ongoing development.

Qualifications

  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence is essential.
  • NVQ / QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care is required.
  • Experience in supported living environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Support Workers to deliver person-centred care.
  • Maintain high standards of care and document care plans.
  • Develop community engagement through activities and outings.
  • Liaise with health professionals and families as needed.
  • Oversee supervision and audits to ensure quality care.
  • Ensure duties are performed to established standards, creating a welcoming home.

About Cornwall Supported Living:

Our specialist Supported Living and Outreach service Cornwall, provides support for people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs and Acquired Brain Injuries. We understand the importance of providing person-centred support that enables independence and meets each individual's needs.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be involved in the day-to-day support and routine of the people within the service including:

  • Managing a team of Support Workers
  • Providing high standards of care and support for people we support, in line with care and support plans
  • Encourage good community relationships by promoting a variety of activities
  • Accurately report, record and maintain records as required and working to care plans
  • Liaise with health professionals and their families
  • Complete supervisions and audits
  • To ensure that all duties undertaken by reporting staff are performed to required standards, and that all such staff contribute in a positive manner to provide a happy, efficient and homely atmosphere within the Home.
