Job summary

Keys Group in Cornwall is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for our Supported Living service near Redruth. You will assist adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs with daily routines and activities.

No prior care experience is required as we provide full training, coaching and development; a full UK driving license is essential, and DBS checks are funded as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving license required.
• Manual handling experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support and routine for people we support.
• Encourage independence while helping individuals live fulfilling lives.
• Encourage and support development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
• Assist with health care needs, attend routine appointments, and administer medication.
• Teach life skills: budgeting, paying bills, and shopping.
• Assist with personal care as required.
• Help with domestic tasks: cleaning and cooking.
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.

About Cornwall Supported Living

Our specialist Supported Living and Outreach service Cornwall, provides support for people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs and Acquired Brain Injuries. We understand the importance of providing person-centred support that enables independence and meets each individual's needs.

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including

• Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
• Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
• Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
• Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
• Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
• Assisting with personal care as required.
• Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
• Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.

Experience within the care sector is not needed as we offer full training, coaching and development
