Brightening Lives in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, is seeking a Senior Support Worker who is caring, ambitious and passionate about helping people live the life they choose. You will lead by example, guiding colleagues and ensuring person-centred care and robust care plans are followed.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with complex health and/or social care needs.
• Senior Support Worker experience is desirable.
• Strong understanding of person-centred care.
• Calm and professional in challenging situations.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support.
• Support individuals with complex health and social care needs in their own homes and within the community.
• Ensure care plans and risk assessments are followed and implemented effectively.
• Provide guidance, encouragement and practical support to colleagues during shifts.
• Support new team members with induction and development.
• Promote dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing at all times.
• Communicate effectively with families and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate care records and contribute to safeguarding.
