Job summary

Not For Profit People is seeking a Senior Support Worker in East Lancashire to join a small team. This hands-on role combines direct support with first-line management responsibilities, helping people with learning disabilities and mental health needs to live independently and participate in valued activities.

You will supervise staff, develop individual support packages, manage rotas, and contribute to a safe, well-run service.

Qualifications

• Significant experience supporting people with complex needs.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate and support colleagues.
• Flexible to work evenings, alternate weekends and shared on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Providing compassionate, person-centred support.
• Assisting supervision and development of specialist staff.
• Supporting the management of staff rotas.
• Developing and delivering individual support packages.
• Promoting a safe, effective and smoothly run service.
• Taking part in the shared on-call rota.
