Job summary

Imagine Independence is seeking a compassionate Senior Specialist Support Worker to join our East Lancashire team. You will lead a team that supports individuals with autism, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and complex needs, providing daily living and personal care to help people live independently in their community.

The role involves developing person‑centred plans, working in a rolling rota including evenings and alternate weekends, liaising with families and professionals,

• Experience or willingness to learn about supporting people with complex needs
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and communication skills
• A values‑driven approach to care and support

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Specialist Support Workers
• Develop and review person‑centred support, risk, and PBS plans
• Liaise with families and professionals
• Attend team and multi‑disciplinary meetings
• Work on a rolling rota including evenings, alternate weekends, and sleep‑ins
• Cover shifts and participate in the on‑call rota as needed
