Job summary

Voyage Care in Castle Cary is seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead our residential service and help people gain more independence. You will support the Manager with day-to-day supervision, allocate shifts, induct new colleagues and ensure smooth operation of the service.

This role requires prior Senior Support Worker experience, and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care or working towards it, plus experience with autism, brain injury and complex mental health needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker.
• Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it).
• Experience with autism, acquired brain injury, complex mental health needs, traumatic backgrounds and challenging behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Help people gain more independence in daily life while supporting the Manager with day-to-day supervision and management of the service.
• Allocate shifts, book training, induct new colleagues and support supervision.
• Order medication and ensure people we support manage their finances.
• Maintain focus on why you do this by keeping seniors at the heart of daily support.
