Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Supporting children and young people with daily routines, personal development, and emotional well-being.
  • Leading shifts and supervising junior staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care is delivered.
  • Providing a stable and safe environment that promotes positive behaviour and independence.
  • Assisting with care planning, safeguarding responsibilities, and record-keeping in line with regulatory standards.
  • Acting as a mentor and role model, promoting trust, respect, and positive relationships.
  • Collaborating with professionals, families, and external agencies to support each child’s journey.

What We’re Looking For:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or Health and Social Care – essential.
  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a residential setting supporting children or young people.
  • A caring, confident, and resilient individual with a genuine passion for helping others.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
  • Flexibility to work on a rota including sleep-ins, evenings, and weekends.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.
