Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a Senior Support Worker for our supported living service in Werrington Peterborough. You will help residents gain independence, support with day-to-day management, and supervise a dynamic team. DBS checks and references will be completed for all applicants.

You’ll work with shifts Mon-Sun, including day and evening periods, and may engage in sleep-in duties as required. Previous Senior Support Worker and Level 3 Health & Social Care experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Support Worker in LD/Autism settings.
• Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification.
• Experience leading and supervising teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager with day-to-day supervision and service management.
• Allocate shifts, book training, induct new colleagues and support supervision.
• Order medication and support residents to manage finances.

£13.84 up to £15.34 with overtime and evening/weekend enhancements (Ts & Cs apply)

Typical Shifts are: Mon -Sun 8.00am-3.00pm and 3.00pm-10.00pm plus Sleep In

We’re currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our supported living service in Werrington Peterborough. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

As a Senior Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision’s, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

We’re interested in our Senior Supporters having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Seniors should have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working in LD and Autism.
