Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead our supported living service in Werrington Peterborough. You will supervise daily operations, allocate shifts, train and induct staff, and support people we serve to gain independence. DBS checks apply and a strong value-driven approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Support Worker and in LD/Autism settings.
• Level 3 in Health & Social Care required.
• Ability to supervise and support a multi-person team in a supported living service.

Responsibilities

• Lead the supported living service and support the manager with day-to-day supervision.
• Allocate shifts and book training for staff.
• Induct new colleagues and support with supervision.
• Order medications and ensure people we support can manage finances.
• Support employees to maintain high-quality care and meet service goals.

Town : Werrington Peterborough

£13.84 up to £15.34 with overtime and evening/weekend enhancements (Ts & Cs apply)

Typical Shifts are: Mon -Sun 7.00am-2.00pm and 2.00pm-9.00pm

We’re currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our supported living service in Werrington Peterborough. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

As a Senior Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision’s, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

We’re interested in our Senior Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Seniors should have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working in LD and Autism.
