Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a Senior Support Worker in Holt (near Trowbridge) to lead a residential service. You’ll help people gain daily independence, support the manager, allocate shifts, train staff and ensure safe medication handling and financial support for service users.

Qualifications

  • Must have Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification.
  • Experience in supporting individuals with autism and complex mental health needs is preferred.
  • Proven ability to supervise and support a team.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Manager with day-to-day supervision and service management.
  • Allocate shifts, book training, induct new colleagues and support supervision.
  • Order medication and assist people to manage their finances.

Senior Support Worker

Location: Holt, Near Trowbridge

Pay rate starts at: £13.84

Contact: 28hrs PW
Typical Shifts are a mixture of: 7am - 2pm and 2pm - 9pm Monday to Sunday

We’re currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our residential service . This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

As a Senior Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision’s, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to the lives of others, whether that’s helping our colleagues grow in confidence or the people we support gain independence so that they meet their goals.

We’re interested in our Senior Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Seniors should have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with individuals with autism, complex individuals with mental health needs, traumatic backgrounds and challenging behaviours.
