Job summary

Voyage Care in Chesterfield is seeking a Experienced Senior Support Worker to lead a residential service. You will help residents gain independence, assist with daily supervision, and contribute to a dynamic team in a welcoming environment.

Ideal candidates have Senior Support Worker experience and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care and will support individuals with enhanced needs including behavioural challenges and mental health concerns.

Qualifications

• Senior experience in a similar role.
• Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
• Experience with individuals requiring enhanced support.

Responsibilities

• Help people gain more independence in daily life and support with day-to-day activities.
• Assist the Service Manager with supervision and management of the service.
• Allocate shifts, book training and induct new colleagues.
• Support with supervision, ordering medications and helping people manage finances.
• Ensure the people we support are at the heart of day-to-day care.

We’re currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our residential service service in Chesterfield is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

As a Senior Support Worker with us you’ll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision’s, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

We’re interested in our Senior Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Seniors should have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, acquired brain injury, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
