Join School House as a Team Leader to provide care for people with severe learning disabilities, Autism, and behaviors that may be seen as challenging. You’ll support and encourage service users to lead full and valued lives, enabling them to live more independently.
You’ll be great with people—a real ‘people person’—able to communicate effectively, explaining yourself clearly in the right tone to suit the situation, and understanding others' behaviors and expressions. Having a good sense of humor, resilience, and a willingness to support residents with personal hygiene are also important.
What you will be doing:
You will join an inclusive, supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with learning disabilities and mental health conditions.
Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will use your excellent communication skills and experience as a Team Leader with a background in Learning Disabilities & Autism to support people through their care pathway. It can be challenging at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance are essential. It is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your support—doing something today they couldn’t do last week.
You will work on a 3-week rolling rota with a mix of early and late shifts: one week of morning shifts (07:00 to 15:30) with days off on Monday, Saturday, and Sunday; one week of afternoon shifts (13:30 to 21:30) with days off on Wednesday and Thursday; and one week of mixed shifts (e.g., morning on Monday, off Tuesday, afternoon on Wednesday and Thursday, off Friday, morning on Saturday and Sunday).
As a Team Leader, you will have:
You must live in the UK and have the Right to Work in the UK full-time. 20-hour Student and Skilled Worker Visas cannot be accepted.

Location: School House, School Walk, Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, TW16 6RB
You will support people who may be living with moderate learning disabilities, associated health needs, autism, and behaviors. Your role involves promoting social inclusion through meaningful community engagement, helping residents develop social networks, and participating in activities to support purposeful lives.
