Join School House as a Team Leader and provide care for people with severe learning disabilities, Autism and challenging behaviors; support and encourage service users to lead full and valued lives, enabling them to live more independently.
You’ll be great with people – a real ‘people person’, able to communicate effectively, explaining yourself clearly in the right tone, and understanding others’ behaviors and expressions. Having a good sense of humor, resilience, and a willingness to help residents with personal hygiene are also important.
What you will be doing: You will join an inclusive, supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with learning disabilities and mental health conditions.
Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will use your excellent communication skills and experience as a Team Leader with a background in Learning Disabilities & Autism to provide care and support people through their care pathway. It can be a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance are essential. It is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your efforts; doing something today that they couldn’t do last week. You will work on a 3-week rolling rota with a mix of early and late shifts, including mornings (07:00-15:30), afternoons (13:30-21:30), and mixed shifts.

Location: School House, School Walk, Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, TW16 6RB
Join the team at School House, supporting people who may have moderate learning disabilities with health needs, autism, and behaviors.
You will support residents as part of their care pathway, promoting social inclusion through community engagement and helping them develop social networks and participate in activities to live purposeful lives.
