Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead a residential service in a welcoming bungalow setting. You will help people gain independence while supporting the Manager with daily supervision and shift allocation. The role includes staff induction, medication ordering, and safeguarding the people we support.

Qualifications

• Level 3 in Health & Social Care required.
• Experience as Senior Support Worker in residential care.
• Experience with autism, complex mental health needs and challenging behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the residential service with day-to-day management.
• Allocate shifts, induct new staff and supervise operations.
• Order medications and assist with budget/finances for people supported.

Contract: 24hrs pw, typical shifts are a mixture of: 07:00 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 21:00 Monday to Sunday

Senior Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We’re currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our residential service . Set in a beautifully adapted bungalow, it has a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

As a Senior Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision’s, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to the lives of others, whether that’s helping our colleagues grow in confidence or the people we support gain independence so that they meet their goals.

We’re interested in our Senior Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Seniors should have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with individuals with autism, complex individuals with mental health needs and challenging behaviours.
