Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a Senior Support Worker for our Deal residential service. You will lead the team, assist the Manager with daily supervision, allocate shifts, and support with supervision while ensuring residents gain more independence.

You will allocate shifts, induct new staff, arrange training, and manage medication ordering to support residents in managing their finances and daily living with dignity.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker.
• Level 3 in Health & Social Care required.
• Experience with enhanced support needs (distress, mental health, brain injury, autism, trauma).

Responsibilities

• Lead the residential service and support day-to-day management.
• Allocate shifts and supervise staff.

We’re currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our residential service in Deal. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

As a Senior Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision’s, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

We’re interested in our Senior Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Seniors should have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, acquired brain injury, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
