Job summary

Voyage Care in Longhope is seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead our residential service and help people gain greater independence. You will support the Manager with day-to-day supervision, allocate shifts, train new staff, and oversee medication ordering and financial matters.

The role requires prior Senior Support Worker experience and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care, plus experience with Positive Behaviour Support and clients with enhanced needs including distress, autism, and trauma.

Qualifications

• Experience as Senior Support Worker and Level 3 Health & Social Care.
• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
• Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, autism, and trauma.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager with day-to-day supervision and management of the service.
• Allocate shifts and book in training; induct new colleagues; support supervision.
• Order medication and ensure people we support manage their finances.

Pay rate: £13.84 - £15.34 Ph (Ts & Cs apply)

Contract: 37.5 hrs

Typical Shifts are: Monday to Sunday 2 x 8am - 20:00 and 1 x 07:30 - 2100

Senior Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We’re currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our residential service in Longhope. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

As a Senior Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision’s, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

We’re interested in our Senior Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Seniors should have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, autism, and people who have experienced trauma.
