Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a Senior Support Worker in Midsomer Norton to lead a welcoming residential service and support a fantastic group of people. You will work with the management team to supervise staff, allocate shifts, support training, and help with medication administration and financial independence for those supported.

Applicants should have previous Senior Support Worker experience and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care, plus experience working with individuals requiring enhanced

• Experience as a Senior Support Worker and Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
• Experience with individuals requiring enhanced support, including distress, mental health conditions, ABI, autism and trauma.

Responsibilities

• Lead the residential service and supervise the team.

• Assist with medication ordering and ensure people you support manage finances.

Location - Midsomer Norton

Pay Rate starts at: £15.10 p/h

Typical Shifts are:

• Long Days – 07:00am – 19:00pm or 08:00am – 20:00pm
• Early Shift – 08:00am – 14:00pm
• Late Shift – 14:00pm – 20:00pm
• Wake Nights – 20:00pm – 08:00am

Senior Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We’re currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our residential service. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

As a Senior Support Worker with us you’ll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision’s, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

We’re interested in our Senior Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Seniors should have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, acquired brain injury, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
