Job summary

Voyage Care in Swindon is seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead day-to-day supervision within our residential service. You will help residents gain independence, supervise a dynamic care team and ensure safe, person-centred support.

We value experienced Senior Support Workers with a Level 3 Health & Social Care. You will work closely with the Manager to coordinate shifts, training, and daily operations while maintaining DBS checks and safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Support Worker in a residential setting.
• Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
• Experience supporting individuals with distress, mental health conditions, acquired brain injury, autism, or trauma.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day supervision and management of the residential service.
• Allocate shifts, arrange training, and induct new colleagues.
• Support people to gain independence and manage finances.

Location - Swindon

Pay Rate : £13.84 up to £15.34ph with overtime and evening/weekend enhancements (Ts & Cs apply)

Typical Shifts are:

• Early: 08:00 – 15:00
• Late: 15:00 – 22:00
• Long day: 08:00 – 22:00
• Night: 22:00 – 08:00

We’re currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our residential service. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

As a Senior Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision’s, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

We’re interested in our Senior Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Seniors should have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, acquired brain injury, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
