We are seeking a warm, motivated individual with leadership qualities to lead a team of support workers in supporting people with mental health and other needs at a high-quality, new-build supported living service in Duston, Northamptonshire. The service offers person-centred, recovery-focused support to promote independence, tenancy sustainment, and positive risk management.
You will help service users progress in their personal recovery journeys and achieve goals related to mental health, wellbeing, independence, and quality of life. You will support individuals in moving into their new homes and becoming as independent as possible in managing their tenancies and daily living activities.
Your role includes providing psychological and practical support to boost self-esteem and confidence, empowering people to make informed choices, and helping them enjoy fulfilling lives through supportive relationships, community connections, and meaningful activities. You will collaborate closely with all members of each individual's support network, including families, social workers, NHS professionals, and voluntary agencies.
You must be able to build warm, trusting relationships based on respect and unconditional positive regard. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with confidence in liaising with external agencies. You should work reliably and responsibly, capable of fulfilling the Key Worker role, including needs/risk assessments and developing person-centred support plans.
