Job summary

Agincare Group is seeking a Senior Support Worker to join our services in Rainham, Rochester and Kent. You will support individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs with a person-centred approach.

You should have enthusiasm, strong people skills, and a proactive attitude, with at least 12 months of experience in support work and right to work. A Health and Social Care level 2 is desirable.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic and proactive approach to supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health and complex needs.
• Minimum 12 months right to work.
• 12 months experience in Support Work.
• Health and Social Care level 2 (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Encouraging people to play active roles in their communities and promote independence.
• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living, including personal care, routines, meals and budgeting.
• Communicating effectively using each person’s chosen methods.
• Engaging to enhance quality of life and promote wellbeing.
• Specialising in positive behavioural support approaches where needed.
• Recording and reporting changes in health or circumstances to management.
• Working as part of a team and using own initiative.

What is required from you?

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work
• 12 months Experience in Support Work
• Health and Social Care level 2 (desirable)
