Job summary

Agincare is seeking a Senior Support Worker to deliver person-centred outcomes for young people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and other complex supports. The role includes working in Rainham, Rochester and Kent and requires a proactive, positive attitude and excellent people skills to empower individuals.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work.
• 12 months experience in Support Work.
• Health and Social Care level 2 (desirable).

• Encouraging people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.
• Supporting Activities of Daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.
• Communicating effectively using people’s chosen methods.
• Engaging and promoting the quality of life for the people we support.
• Specialising in supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches.
• Recording accurate records and reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management.
• Team player: working as part of a team and also using own initiative.
