Job summary

Priory Group is seeking a Senior Support Worker at Manor Field in Weldon, Northamptonshire. The role involves supervising staff, delivering person-centred care, and leading shifts to ensure high standards across the service.

You will supervise day-to-day operations, oversee team meetings, and ensure residents’ plans enable independent living, with scope for professional development and leadership pathways.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Support Worker or Senior Support Worker is essential.

Compensation: £13.95 / hour


Description

Manor Field is located in Weldon, Northamptonshire. It offers residential support for five males and females, who have a primary learning disability diagnosis, who may also be autistic. We are in a semi-rural location, off a main road, and surrounded by lovely views and beautiful countryside.

What you'll be doing

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will act as a positive role model, providing effective supervision and guidance to support staff, ensuring high-
quality, person-centred care is delivered at all times.


You will play a key role in supervising day-to-day operations, coaching colleagues, leading team meetings, and ensuring the people who use our service are supported to live fulfilling, independent lives.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Supervise and support the delivery of person-centred support and care

  • Provide leadership during shifts, including handovers, role allocation, and effective communication.

  • Ensure residents have person-centred plans in place and are supported to participate in meaningful activities.

  • Deliver team supervisions and contribute to professional development.

  • Administer medication safely and in line with procedures.

  • Manage service users’ finances and contribute to budget management in accordance with policy.

  • Complete and oversee accurate record-keeping, reporting, and compliance with legislation.

  • Monitor and support team performance, addressing immediate operational issues as needed.

  • Maintain up-to-date training and knowledge to ensure safe and effective practice.
