Priory is seeking a Senior Support Worker to supervise care teams at Bishops Way, St Leonards-on-Sea. You will lead day-to-day operations, coach staff, and ensure person-centred care for residents with PWS, promoting independence and safety.

You will supervise shifts, manage handovers, and support staff development while maintaining accurate records and compliant practices. Experience in care and strong people skills are essential for this role in a residential setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Support Worker or Senior Support Worker is essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the delivery of person-centred support and care.
• Provide leadership during shifts, including handovers, role allocation, and effective communication.
• Ensure residents have person-centred plans in place and are supported to participate in meaningful activities.
• Deliver team supervisions and contribute to professional development.
• Administer medication safely and in line with procedures.
• Manage service users’ finances and contribute to budget management in accordance with policy.
• Complete and oversee accurate record-keeping, reporting, and compliance with legislation.
• Monitor and support team performance, addressing immediate operational issues as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date training and knowledge to ensure safe and effective practice.

Description

Bishops Way is located in the coastal town of St Leonards-on-Sea near Hastings, East Sussex. It offers residential support for three females who have Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS). We are off a quiet road, a short distance from the town centre and the sea front.

Our team are dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment where our residents can be fully involved in their care and support in order to lead a more independent and fulfilling future.

What you'll be doing

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will act as a positive role model, providing effective supervision and guidance to support staff, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is delivered at all times. You will play a key role in supervising day-to-day operations, coaching colleagues, leading team meetings, and ensuring the people who use our service are supported to live fulfilling, independent lives.
