An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to empower young people facing challenges. In this rewarding role, you'll actively contribute to quality care, ensuring the health and welfare of the young individuals in your charge. You'll work collaboratively with a team to create personalized support plans, supervise staff, and engage in daily activities that foster growth and self-esteem. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people, providing them with the skills and support they need to thrive. If you're passionate about making a difference and have the experience to back it up, this role could be your next great adventure.
About The Company
Underpinning our philosophy is our belief that all young people are capable of change, to engage and achieve, leading to them making more positive choices about their lives and their futures. Our aim is to empower each child with the skills to manage risk, help with building self-esteem, build competence and work towards stabilisation after they leave our service.
The trauma-informed approach involves the ‘whole team’ relationship-based approach to support the young person to achieve improved emotional stability and behavioural control, through the provision of a safe environment in which to explore, understand and develop improved resilience.
Early intervention, problem-solving, social skills, group living, and pro-social modelling form the daily ethos of the homes, which is based on respect, positive reinforcement and positive role modelling.
We see direct intervention with children and young people as having two main areas, firstly to address current issues of risk and harm, and secondly to address underlying vulnerability issues.
About The Role
Unfortunately, we cannot offer sponsorship to applicants for this vacancy due to changes in Home Office rules unless you were already in the skilled worker visa route prior to 11th March 2024 as this is not a CQC registered location.
