Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking a Principal Civil/Structural Engineer to lead the civil/structural design for subway systems in Devonport, Devon. You will direct design packages, supervise a design team, and coordinate with utilities to meet project requirements.

The role emphasizes governance, change control, and collaboration across engineering functions, with a focus on refurbishment and new design strategies for subway infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Chartered Engineer with ICE membership or working towards chartered status, or significant experience

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage technical design packages ensuring requirements are met through the design process
• Provide technical design guidance and review of sub-contract design to ensure compliance with specifications, technical regulations and standards
• Collaboration across engineering functions and stakeholders to integrate designs within the overall facility layout and manage interfaces
• Maintaining the engineering configuration of the design intent (change control)
• Support development and lead implementation of assurance and governance activities for subway remedial works and new design development
