Job summary

Strata Consulting Limited in Leeds is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design projects from concept through to completion, working with clients, architects and contractors to deliver practical engineering solutions on a varied portfolio including commercial, residential, education and mixed-use schemes.

You will mentor junior engineers, manage programmes and budgets, review design work, and contribute to career progression through chartership support.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards chartership.
• Proven experience in a UK structural engineering consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and delivery of building projects across multiple sectors.
• Produce structural calculations, reports and technical specifications.
• Design using steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.
• Liaise directly with clients, architects and project stakeholders.
• Manage project programmes, budgets and deliverables.
• Review and check design work completed by junior engineers and technicians.
• Support and mentor less experienced team members.
• Attend client and site meetings as required.
