Job summary

Strata Construction Consulting UK Ltd in Leeds is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design projects across commercial, residential, education, industrial and mixed-use developments, mentoring junior engineers and delivering practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.

You will liaise with clients, architects and contractors, manage programmes and budgets, review design work, and contribute to staff development within a collaborative, hybrid-working environment that supports

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards chartership.
• Proven experience within a UK structural engineering consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of UK design standards and building regulations.
• Experience using Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds and MasterSeries.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and delivery of building projects across multiple sectors.
• Produce structural calculations, reports and technical specifications.
• Design using steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.
• Liaise directly with clients, architects and project stakeholders.
• Manage project programmes, budgets and deliverables.
• Review and check design work completed by junior engineers and technicians.
• Support and mentor less experienced members of the team.
• Attend client and site meetings as required.
