Job summary

Strata Construction Consulting UK Ltd in Leicester is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design and delivery of diverse UK projects. You will collaborate with clients, architects and contractors, taking projects from concept to construction with autonomy and mentorship responsibilities.

The role offers hybrid working, exposure to a varied portfolio and clear progression opportunities toward Principal/Associate positions, with support toward Chartership where required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Several years of UK structural consultancy experience.
• Chartered or progressing towards Chartership (IStructE or ICE).
• Proficient with relevant design codes and software.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design from feasibility through to construction.
• Design structures in steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry.
• Produce and review structural calculations, reports and technical specifications.
• Manage project programmes, budgets and client relationships.
• Attend site visits, surveys and project meetings.
• Mentor and develop graduate and intermediate engineers.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external consultants.
• Support the technical and commercial success of projects.
