Job summary

TED Recruitment is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our client based in Stockton-on-Tees. You will lead structural design across schools, offices, residential, industrial, and decarbonisation projects, ensuring compliance with UK regulations.

You will oversee drawings, calculations and specifications, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with multi-discipline teams to deliver integrated design solutions. A full UK driving licence and site travel are expected.

Qualifications

• BSc in Civil or Structural Engineering required; MSc useful but not essential.
• Five years' experience with civil/structural consulting; Chartered preferred or eight+ years if not yet Chartered.
• Experience with UK codes/regulations and site visits; driving licence and own vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and ensure compliance with UK regulations.
• Oversee drawings, calculations and specifications; collaborate with multi-discipline teams.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and build strong client relationships.
• Perform structural condition surveys and prepare reports.
