Job summary

Alexander Associates is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to deliver high-quality structural designs across commercial, industrial, logistics, residential and data-centre projects. You will take ownership of design packages, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and drive technical excellence.

Responsibilities include designing across steel, concrete, masonry and timber, coordinating with architects and contractors, and mentoring junior engineers while advancing BIM workflows.

Qualifications

• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering/related field.
• Proven consultancy experience delivering structural design projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and drainage modelling tools.
• Strong knowledge of UK design standards, Eurocodes and Building Regulations.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and engineering judgement.
• Experience across commercial, industrial, logistics or data-centre sectors.
• Chartered or working towards Chartered status (CEng MIStructE or CEng MICE).
• Understanding of BIM tools and workflows.
• Experience in Flood Risk Assessment and Drainage Strategy Reports.
• Experience in Industrial and Commercial building sectors.
