Job summary

American Society of Civil Engineers is seeking a Near Chartered Structural Engineer near Maidstone, Kent. The role is permanent with hybrid/flexible working; chartership or near-chartership is required or within reach.

You will design and deliver structural solutions across diverse projects and liaise with clients, architects and contractors to ensure quality delivery. The successful candidate will hold a Civil or Structural Engineering degree, have several years of consultancy experience, and

Qualifications

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Several years' relevant structural engineering consultancy experience.
Strong knowledge of structural design principles and British Standards / Eurocodes.
Experience with steel, concrete, masonry and timber.
Strong communication and report-writing skills.
Chartered Engineer status or near chartership.
Ambition to progress, lead and take ownership.

Responsibilities

Designing and delivering structural engineering solutions across a varied project portfolio.
Working on projects from initial concept and feasibility through to detailed design and construction.
Producing calculations, specifications, reports and technical documentation.
Coordinating with architects, contractors, clients and fellow engineers.
Reviewing designs and providing technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
Taking increasing responsibility for projects, clients and technical delivery.
Helping shape the continued growth and development of the structural engineering team.
