Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Near Chartered Structural Engineer to join a growing consultancy near Maidstone, Kent. You’ll work across a varied portfolio from concept to completion, taking ownership of designs and collaborating with clients, architects and other professionals.

Ideally you are chartered or near-chartered, with strong knowledge of BS/Eurocodes and experience with steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures. Hybrid/flexible working is offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Several years of relevant structural engineering consultancy experience.
• Strong knowledge of structural design principles and British Standards/Eurocodes.
• Experience with steel, concrete, masonry and timber.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver structural engineering solutions across a varied project portfolio.
• From initial concept through to detailed design and construction.
• Produce calculations, specifications, reports and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, clients and fellow engineers.
• Review designs and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
• Take increasing responsibility for projects, clients and technical delivery.
• Help shape the growth and development of the structural engineering team.
