Job summary

Zodiac Recruitment seeks a Structural Engineer based in Maidstone to join a national consultancy. You will contribute to all phases from concept through construction on diverse projects, with a focus on innovative design and high-quality outputs.

The role requires strong structural design skills across steel, concrete, timber and masonry, with proficiency in Tekla/Tedds and a solid grasp of UK regulations. Chartered or working towards membership is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in structural design across steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Proficiency in Tekla, Tedds or similar, for analysis and detailing.
• Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, Standards and Health & Safety.
• Experience on building projects from concept to completion.
• Ability to produce calculations, drawings and reports.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with clients and contractors.

Role: Structural Engineer

Location: Maidstone

Salary: £34,000 to £49,000

We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Structural Engineer, to be based in Maidstone and work with an established national consultancy who have a healthy forward order book.

As a Structural Engineer, you will work within a talented and collaborative team of engineers and technicians, playing a key role in delivering high-quality design solutions. You will be involved in all stages of the project lifecycle, from concept design through to construction, working on a variety of challenging projects that make a real impact on the built environment. This role offers you the chance to grow professionally, take on greater responsibilities, and work on high-profile developments.

We are looking for an engineer who has a strong technical background, with experience in the design of steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovative engineering, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the confidence to liaise with clients and contractors. What You Need To Succeed

• Proven experience in structural design, with knowledge of steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as Tekla, Tedds, or similar.
• Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, Design Standards, Codes of Practice and Health & Safety regulations.
• Experience working on building projects from concept through to completion.
