Job summary

Priory Hospital Burgess Hill is seeking a Senior Staff Nurse for the PICU Jupiter ward. You will deliver safe, person-centred care, coordinate shifts, supervise junior staff, and work with the multidisciplinary team to assess and review treatment plans.

Active NMC registration and completed preceptorship are required. Salary up to £40,692 per year with a full-time 40.25 hours/week role, located at Priory Hospital Burgess Hill in West Sussex. Applications close 20 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6-12 months post registration experience within Mental Health/Learning Disability Nursing with evidence of continued professional development in relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shifts and act as nurse in charge on the ward.
• Supervise and mentor colleagues and student nurses; participate in ward leadership and site coordination duties.
• Maintain accurate records, monitor patient wellbeing, and ensure governance, safeguarding and medicines management compliance.
