Priory Hospital Burgess Hill is seeking a Deputy Ward Manager for our PICU ward. You will lead the nursing team, manage clinical risks, and promote equality, diversity and inclusion while ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment. The role includes coordinating shifts, supervision, and contributing to recruitment and retention.

You will work on the PICU ward with a focus on person-centred care and professional development, supported by Priory’s commitment to learning and leadership pathways.

Qualifikationen

• Active Nursing Midwifery Council registration (NMC) is required.
• 18–24 months post-registration experience.
• Experience in a clinical specialty is desirable.
• Experience in PICU is beneficial.

Aufgaben

• Lead and supervise the nursing team on the PICU ward.
• Coordinate shifts and supervise staffing to ensure safe and effective care.
• Deliver and evaluate therapeutic interventions and support multidisciplinary working.
• Provide clinical supervision and mentor student nurses.
• Deputise for the Ward Manager and promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
