Job summary

Devon Partnership Trust in Exeter is recruiting a full-time Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join the Children's Speech and Language Therapy Team. You will work in the community with children and young people in clinics and education settings.

Qualifications

• Experience with children and young people with speech, language and communication needs in community/educational settings.
• Knowledge of assessment tools for paediatric SLT and appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Understanding of clinical governance and audit processes; able to work with other professionals.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload of children in the Exeter area with speech, language and communication needs.
• Provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment of developmental disorders of speech, language and communication.
• Deliver appropriate intervention and evaluate outcomes.
• Advise parents, carers, early years and school staff on SLT needs.
• Set up and monitor programmes for other key workers.
• Write reports reflecting specialist knowledge.
