Job summary

Cornwall Council’s Communication Support Team is a small, friendly group of professionals working in schools and settings across Cornwall. We are seeking a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to develop support in settings for children with SLCN, delivering training, peer support, and advising on inclusive strategies.

You will also provide specialist assessments and interventions for a small caseload, undertake Education Health and Care Needs Assessments, and contribute to continued

Qualifications

• Registered Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC registration.
• Experience delivering training and working with SLCN learners.
• Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver whole-setting training and peer support.
• Provide specialist assessments and intervention for a caseload of children.
• Prepare high-quality written reports and participate in peer reviews.
• Collaborate with NHS and Local Authority teams; manage own diary independently.
