Job summary

South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust in Warwickshire is seeking a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join the Special School team. Qualifications

• Experience of working with children with Speech, Language and Communication needs.
• Dysphagia caseload is desirable.
• Willingness to access supervision and CPD.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage speech, language and communication needs of children in special schools.
• Deliver training to parents, school staff and other professionals.
• Manage a highly complex caseload aged 4–19 years.
• Use formal and informal assessments to plan patient management.
• Provide therapeutic interventions individually or in groups; work with teaching staff and TAs.
• Provide advice on curriculum differentiation and IEPs; liaise with teachers and families.
