Job summary

Cornwall Council is seeking an enthusiastic Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to work across schools and settings in Cornwall. You will develop support for children and young people with SLCN, delivering whole-setting training and peer support.

You will provide specialist assessments and intervention for a small caseload, undertake EHC assessments, and produce high-quality written reports. You’ll work four days per week with flexible options and join a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with HCPC and experienced in SEND/SLT.
• Skilled at developing and delivering training.
• Knowledge of SLCN and educational implications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver whole-setting training and peer support across Cornwall schools.
• Provide specialist assessments and intervention for a small caseload of children.
• Undertake Education Health and Care Needs Assessments and provision.
• Produce high-quality written reports and participate in peer reviews.
• Manage own diary and work independently with children at heart.
• Collaborate with NHS colleagues and Local Authority teams.
