Job summary

Cornwall Council’s Communication Support Team seeks an enthusiastic Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to work across schools and settings in Cornwall. You will develop support for children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs, deliver whole-setting training, and provide specialist assessments and intervention for a small caseload.

You will be supported to pursue CPD and maintain specialist knowledge, with strong collaboration across the team and with NHS and Local

Qualifications

HCPC registration is required and essential for practice.
Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written, are necessary.
Ability to develop and deliver training and provide holistic support to learners.

Responsibilities

Deliver specialist assessments and interventions for a caseload of children.
Provide Education Health and Care Needs Assessments and provisions as needed.
Produce high-quality written reports and participate in peer reviews for quality assurance.
Develop close working relationships with colleagues, NHS, and Local Authority teams.
Manage own diary and work independently with children and young people at the heart of the role.
