El Cerdo Tapas Bar in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. You will work with the Head Chef to deliver fresh, seasonal Spanish dishes and maintain high standards of execution, quality and presentation.

Qualifications

• At least 1-3 years of previous experience as Sous Chef in a professional kitchen.
• Knowledge of Spanish cuisine desirable but not essential.
• A stable work history.
• Positive 'can do' attitude and high attention to detail.
• Passionate, driven, organised and punctual.
• Looking for career progression.

Responsibilities

• Supporting senior leadership by developing and assuming basic management responsibilities
• Executes and supervises the preparation, cooking and service of various food items ensuring consistency and quality
• Develops and implements creative menu items that adhere to Head Chef approval
• Assist the Exec / Head Chef to develop new dishes and menus
• Assist the Exec / Head Chef in food purchases while controlling costs
• Leads and coaches the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results
• Monitors food production, ordering, quality and consistency on a daily basis
• Ensure you and your team maintain the highest of standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and health and safety
